New season, new look: MOTORRAD MESSE LEIPZIG is becoming MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG. With its new name and a bold, contemporary design, this long-standing spring trade show continues to evolve. The dates also mark a new direction: From Saturday, February 6, through Monday, February 8, 2027, the motorcycle show will open for the first time to coincide with the start of the concurrently held HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT and HANDWERK live. The tried-and-true combo ticket remains available: a single ticket grants access to all three trade shows.
Leipzig/Dortmund, July 27, 2026 – The world of motorcycles is changing: New vehicle segments and technologies, a more diverse community, and rising expectations for expert advice, experiences, and personal interaction are shaping the industry. MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG is responding to this trend and will kick off the next season in 2027 with a comprehensively revamped brand identity.
Unified Brand Identity, Clear Leipzig Profile
The new name establishes a direct and clearly recognizable link between the Leipzig event and MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND. Both trade shows are organized by Messe Dortmund and will be further developed under a unified brand strategy going forward. Leipzig will retain its distinct profile as a long-standing meeting place for motorcycle enthusiasts, manufacturers, dealers, and the motorcycle scene in eastern and central Germany.
Angelika Bauer, Division Manager at Messe Dortmund: “With MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG, we’re creating a clear link between our two event locations without sacrificing the unique identity of the Leipzig event. Leipzig stands for an especially early start to the motorcycle season, personalized advice, authentic product experiences, and a community that views motorcycles as a passion. The new name and bold design capture this vision in a contemporary way.”
A Powerful Look for Motorcycle Enthusiasts and the Community
The new brand identity is more than just a visual update. The design translates the energy, diversity, and dynamism of the motorcycle world into a clear visual language. It provides guidance, increases brand recognition, and offers brands, retailers, and partners a modern platform for their presentations. The website, social media channels, newsletters, and other communication tools will be gradually transitioned to the new visual identity. This will give visitors clearer access to information, exhibitors, and program offerings. At the same time, the connection between the two motorcycle trade show formats in Leipzig and Dortmund will become more visible.
New Dates for the Kickoff of the Leipzig Trade Fair Trio “
” In addition to its name and design, the timing of the event within the Leipzig trade fair program will also change in 2027. While the 2026 motorcycle show took place live during the closing weekend of HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT and HANDWERK, in 2027 it will open alongside the two parallel shows. MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG begins on Saturday, February 6, and ends on Monday, February 8, 2027. Monday also marks the first day of the Saxon winter break. The new dates thus combine the high-traffic opening weekend of the three fairs with an additional opportunity for families, students, and motorcycle enthusiasts to visit at the start of the school break.
One Ticket for Three Trade Show Worlds
Visitors will once again benefit from the tried-and-true combo ticket in 2027. From February 6 through 8, the rule is: one ticket, three trade shows. In addition to MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG , this ticket also grants access to HAUS-GARTEN-FREIZEIT and HANDWERK live without any additional admission fee. This combination brings together diverse interests in one place: While MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG focuses on the latest motorcycles, accessories, apparel, safety, technology, and offerings from the motorcycle scene, the parallel trade shows feature topics such as home, garden, leisure, construction, and crafts. This creates a diverse trade show experience that appeals to motorcycle fans as well as families and visitor groups with a variety of interests.
An Early Kickoff for the Motorcycle Season
The 2026 edition had already underscored Leipzig’s importance as an early benchmark for the motorcycle industry with a strong brand presence, premieres, new models, and a diverse show program. MOTORRÄDER LEIPZIG builds on this success and continues to develop the exhibition and supporting program for 2027. Numerous motorcycle brands, manufacturers, importers, dealers, and suppliers from the fields of accessories, apparel, safety, and services will come together with motorcyclists, mechanics, young fans, and trade visitors. Personalized advice, hands-on product experiences, and direct interaction with brands and experts remain central components of the trade show.
